Dane Winslow Ellsworth

Dane Winslow Ellsworth has been wielding a crayon, pencil or brush as far back as he can
remember.  With classical training under his belt, he is well versed in the principles of illustration
and representational art.
“When The Devil Broke in Two”  Mixed Media on Canvas

Still, Dane spent many years experimenting with materials and paint media, much of it just for fun.  Though now his approach is more settled and disciplined, his paintings no longer germinate from interpreting nature, but start from within and are influenced by his life experience.

Dane received his formal art education at the Art Students League in New York and later studied with cowboy artist, Frank C. McCarthy.  His work has been seen in Persimmon Hill Magazine published by the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, has been sold through Southwest Art Magazine and is in public and private collections.

He has done historical illustration for the Panhandle Plains Historical Museum in Canyon, Texas and Dane was also encouraged and mentored by Fred Olds, cowboy, western artist and director of the  Oklahoma Territorial Museum in Guthrie, Oklahoma.  His paintings are in the collections of the Oklahoma Territorial Museum and the Doss Heritage and Cultural Center in Weatherford, Texas.  Dane’s painting, “Old Friends,” was selected by the Texas State SPCA for their poster art for “Paws for Art” and is now in the private collection of that organization’s executive director.  Dane is also a Signature Member of the Outdoor Painters Society.

Becky Rogers

Becky Rogers

After a successful career in banking and as an owner of a graphics business, Becky has achieved her goal of creating fine art professionally. This Texas Hill Country transplant from Kansas feels she is at her best when she is creating. Becky’s paintings are inspired by the Texas Hill Country in all its splendor. Pastures brimming with bluebonnets, pink primroses in the morning mist, longhorns in serene pastures and sunlit cypress trees along the Guadalupe River are many exceptional aspects of the state’s natural beauty that she captures on her canvas.

As an award winning artist, Becky’s paintings are much sought after and her paintings grace the walls of collectors nationally and internationally. In 2005, the Boerne ISD presented a delegation of students and teachers from Shanghai International Studies University Bilingual School, Becky’s limited edition giclee print, “Bluebonnet Road, A Hill Country Setting” as a remembrance of their visit to Boerne.

Becky’s work has appeared in various magazines and publications:

SouthWest Art Magazine, Western Art Collector Magazine, Country Lifestyle Magazine, TravelHost, San Antonio Monthly, Boerne Star and Austin Monthly.

She has and continues to study under the direction of the “best of the best” artists in America today. Becky exhibits her work professionally through invitational and juried shows, galleries, and museum exhibits. She is a member of the Boerne Professional Artists (BPA) which she currently serves as Secretary, American Society of Bovine Artists, and the Hill Country Council for the Arts (HCCA). Her home studio is in the Boerne and Comfort area of the beautiful Texas Hill Country.
